Santa Teresa is a small coastal village on the southern tip of Costa Rica's westernmost peninsula. La Lora Beach is picture-perfect white sand — Forbes magazine voted the beaches here among the Top 10 Most Breathtaking in the world. On the north end is a rock jetty and an epic point break known as Roca Mar. There's also Beach Break: consistent waves over hundreds of meters of white sand with lefts and rights, no rocks. The wave shape is often very good, and surf competitions are held here.
